My Barcelona Vegan Food Guide
I am just home from a lovely easter weekend break to Barcelona with my family and we had the best time. The architecture, laneways and sights around Barcelona are just amazing but the food scene is epic.
Over the few days I was there I ate some delish food, from Spanish veggie paellas, spicy tomatas bravas and more traditional food to an awesome vegan health food scene I will show you in this post.
HOLEY MOLEY, I just LOVE this place! The food, atmosphere, staff and the whole vibe. I went here twice in my few days in Barcelona, once for brekkie and then for lunch. Both times, it was amazing.
The menu is dreamy; insane homemade kombuchas, lattes, juices, smoothies etc and then pages of delicious food. My mum andI shared the zucchini and kale pesto flatbread with avocado’s, olives and more (highly recommend) as well as vegan dumplings stuffed with jackfruit and they were just epic!
They also do delish desserts like chocolate chip cookies, cakes and so much more.
There are two café locations: both times I went to the Passage location, tucked away in a cute little street near the centre of Barcelona.
This vegan gelato shop served some of the best ice cream I have ever had. Even my non-vegan mum agreed. All their ice creams are made of rice milk and they have vegan cones too. I got a loaded cone with 2 scoops: pistachio and banana + peanut butter (insanely good) and my mum got the orange + almond which was so tasty.
I got an Uber Eats from here one night and I couldn’t have made a better decision. After taking a long indecisive look at the menu, I finally went for the beetroot burger with picked cucumbers, caramelised onions, guac, lettuce and deliciousness. I also went for the carrot cake with cashew cream icing for dessert and it was epic.
This place does DELICIOUS açaí bowls and you can trust me on this as I believe my açaí knowledge is quite sharp.
They have good serving sizes, tasty, thick açaí (like a sorbet) and loads of toppings to choose from. I went for the power bowl (açaí, granola, banana, berries + peanut butter) you can also add on extra toppings so I chose to add mango and swap pb for almond.
Highly recommend checking out this spot for a tasty brekkie, they also do pitaya bowls, smoothie and tapiocas (not really sure what this is but looked good).
