Simple Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are the perfect on-the-go brekkie.

For a long time I thought that I hated them, that I only like the warm version but I have recently changed my mind and this recipe may have been what converted me! It is such a simple brekkie to make that you can just grab and go in the morning to bring to work, school, uni etc.

Serves 1

Oats
  • 1/2 cup oats

  • 1/2 cup blueberries

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

  • 150ml almond milk

  • tbsp maple syrup (optional)

  • To serve; sliced banana, berries, nut butter etc.

In a jar or bowl, add in the all the ingredients apart from the toppings. Stir the mix together well and place in the fridge overnight. The following morning, add on your toppings of choice. I recommend sliced banana, blueberries and almond butter.
